Career
  • Deputy Head Of Department bei Fraunhofer IML
  • Former Engineer at Kocher Elektrotechnik GmbH
  • Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD) University of Applied Sciences.
Abstract
Our news is full of reports about humanoid robots, be it Atlas or Optimus, on an almost daily basis. But do these robots really solve the problems we are experiencing in our industry, such as the shortage of skilled labour? We would like to put this hypothesis to the test and show how robots can usefully support us in industry. What features, for example anthropomorphic ones, do we need? And what questions do we need to ask ourselves regarding the use of robots in our working environment? One example is the evoBOT®. It is an example of what modular robots can look like - elegant, flexible, cute.

Abstract
  • In developing AI, various types of Agents are appearing. Although robots, as one of those Agents, have risen during the COVID era and have gotten expectations, the reality wasn’t that easy. However, a general-purpose robot utilizing the Foundation model opens up the Embodied Agent era.
Robots, which are combined with AI, are making differences from what the original has done and are creating a world where humans co-exist with robots. I’m about to share where AI and robots are heading for, and what we should prepare to live with the Embodied Agent together.
